The Pod That Jane Likes with vocal coach Rob Stevenson.

For those of you who really know me, you know my hubby and I are BIG Dave Matthews Band fans. We spend way too much time traveling to shows...but not as much as our other friends who are truly committed, some of whom have attended over 100+ shows.

But as much as we adore the band, there is a special person that EVERYONE loves and that's Dave's vocal coach Rob (RAab) Stevenson. I personally call him the "Fairy Godfather" or "Goodwill Ambassador" because both are appropriate. He's always mingling with the crowd, giving out setlists and just listening to all the fun that is going on around him. But make no mistake, he works hard...traveling all over the world to whichever artist needs him on that day. And literally, he's changing locations daily.

As a career counselor, I LOVE hearing people's career stories, hence why I had a podcast over 5 years ago called, "What's Your Career Story" where I highlighted different professionals. So, when this podcast, "The Pod that Jane Likes" (A reference to a Dave song about his sister), interviewed Rob, I thought I would share it. We often think we must be "performers" to be in the music industry but don't think about other ways to parlay into other fields. Rob is the vocal coach to Justin Timberlake, Brandi Carlile, Chris Stapleton, One Republic, Rihanna...to only name a FEW...and I seriously mean "a few".

I hope you enjoy this very special podcast talking about his job and his passion for helping artists perform at their highest level, through his residing faith.
