Dreaming of college but not sure where to start? College Prep 101 for Neurodivergent Students is a 5-day experience designed to help you explore college life, understand your options, and feel confident about your next steps.
Hosted by Tufts University, this immersive program connects you with resources, mentors, and peers who understand your unique learning style. You’ll:
Get personalized guidance through the college search and application process
Meet with Tufts’ StAAR Center staff and neurodivergent Tufts students
Discover what college academics and campus life are really like
Join interactive seminars on classroom expectations, self-advocacy, and success strategies
Learn about your legal rights and accommodations in college
Throughout the week, you’ll build your own “My College Plan” — a personalized roadmap for your college journey, created around your goals and future aspirations.

Program dates:
Commuter: June 22 - 26, 2026
Eligible students: Entering grades 10-12. This program is not encouraged for students who have already applied and been accepted to a college as a sizeable piece of the program is geared towards the college search and application process.
Location: Tufts UniversityMedford / Somerville Campus

Academic transcript and history
Statement of interest (250 words max)
1 letter of recommendation
Parent permission form
Credit: Not for credit
Financial aid: Limited need-based scholarships available

Important Information about Student Documentation: While we are asking students to self-identify as neurodivergent during the application process, we will not be able to collect any documentation from students until after they have fully applied and been accepted. At that point, the Pre-College team will help facilitate a 1:1 meeting with Tufts StARR Center to discuss any accommodations or supports that a student may need. After that conversation, the instructor and classroom assistants for College Prep 101 for Neurodivergent Students will be informed of the best way to support each student's needs throughout the week.
