Path to Pro: FREE Virtual Program for the Trades

The Path to Pro Program has three main components: PathtoPro.com which offers skilled trade resources and information, the Skills Program, and the Network.

PathtoPro.com has trades information and resources available to students, parents, advisors, counselors, teachers, and anyone interested in learning about the skilled trades and construction.

The Skills Program offers free, on-demand training and educational resources for careers in the skilled trades, building the next generation of trades, and construction professionals.

The Network allows jobseekers in construction to connect with hiring Home Depot Pros. As a free benefit of Pro Xtra, it allows Pro customers to find and hire the skilled tradespeople they need to grow their business. It simplifies the hiring process by allowing Pros to easily review candidates’ portfolios, experience, and qualifications. Pros can also post jobs for free.

The Path to Pro program is free. There is no cost for either the Path to Pro Skills Program or the Path to Pro Network.

Anyone 18 and older interested in building or furthering a career in the skilled trades can create a free profile and join the Path to Pro Network. Visit https://pathtopro.com/find-jobs to get started.

The length of free training in the Path to Pro Skills Program varies. Skills Basics introduces students to skilled trades careers and takes approximately 1 hour to complete. Trades Essentials provides specific trade skills, with course length varying by field. Students can pause and resume trainings at any time. Additional Training provides more resources that help elevate and enhance soft skills and provides tips and tricks that can help you begin your trades career journey.
